The Bishop Velychkovsky National Martyr Shrine houses the holy relics (full body) of a modern Ukrainian Catholic Martyr, who was persecuted and tortured by the Soviet regime for remaining faithful to his church. The life of Blessed Vasyl, who was beatified in 2001, is depicted in the museum through artifacts, panels and a short video. It is the second Martyr’s Shrine in Canada. The church itself is filled with beautiful Byzantine icons, mosaics and strained glass windows.
Please use the front entrance of the church.
