Saturday: 11:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm

The new home for Main Street Project’s Emergency Shelter was originally designed and built in 1907 as the Bon Accord Building by architect John D. Atchison. It was designed as a mixed-use building with multiple retail units on the main floor, at least one floor of residential suites with offices on the upper floors.

Until being purchased by MSP the building was home to the much beloved Mitchell Fabrics Inc. for close to 70 years. The building is a landmark in Winnipeg’s retail sector and will soon act as a beacon of respite and hope for the city’s most vulnerable citizens.

Guided tours will start at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm on Saturday, and 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 4:00pm on Sunday, maximum 20 participants per tour.
