Come visit one of Saint-Boniface’s historical gems; the Old Saint-Boniface City Hall! While on site you will have the opportunity to take part in a short tour of the building with a local guide to discover the many secrets found in this stunning monument. Stories of controversial architecture, dark times in the basement prison (Yes! There was a prison there!), the growth of the community through time and so much more! Perhaps, if you have a moment, stay for a viewing of the At the Heart of Manitoba’s Francophone Community documentary to have a better sense of place.

Lors de votre visite, vous aurez l’opportunité de prendre part à une tournée relatant l’histoire et les mystères de ce bâtiment! Imaginez tout ce qu’il y a à découvrir: des histoires d’architecture controversée, les temps noirs au fin fond des cachots du sous-sol (Et oui! Il y avait une prison là!), l’évolution de la communauté du coin et tellement plus! Please note the wheelchair entrance is on the west side of the building and only some floors are wheelchair accessible.

To help keep our community safe, wearing a face mask and social distancing is required.

Guided tours will run every 30 minutes starting at 10:00am, with the last tour departing at 12:30pm. Tours will be approximately 20 minutes in length with a maximum 10 guests.

Online registration is required for all guests! Registration will open Friday, May 20th at noon. A link will be made available here just prior to registration opening.
