The Roblin Centre is the main hub of Red River College’s growing Exchange District Campus, which also includes the nearby Massey Building and the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute. Home to about 2,000 staff and students, the Centre combines heritage restoration with modern green building technologies. During construction, many efforts were made to maintain the heritage features of the original structures on this site. The façades along Princess Street and many of the original wood columns and floors were incorporated into the design. Other columns were used as benches in public areas, and brickwork, millwork, and windows were restored and reused.
