The historic ‘Stone Church’ is a fine representation of ‘Red River Colony’ construction within the Selkirk Settler era. Simple in its design it served as a community gathering place for the original Presbyterian descendants who arrived at the Colony in 1814. It is surrounded by its original cemetery the burial site for many prominent Settler’s and community leaders before & after Manitoba became a province of Canada. Remedial work is ongoing on the church and will do so for several years to come. These efforts will stabilize the building for future use by the community at large.
To help keep everyone safe, wearing a face mask is appreciated and social distancing is mandatory.
Walking tours will start at 2:00pm, departing from the front of the church. Tours will be 45 minutes in length with a maximum of 50 participants.
Preregistration is required for all tours! Click here to preregister! Preregistration will open Friday, September 4th at noon. A link to preregister will be made available here just prior to preregistration opening.
